Ingredients:  
1 1/2 lbs. round or sirloin steak cut into thin slices.
1 T. paprika
2 T butter or margarine
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 1/2 c. beef broth
1 onion, sliced
2 green peppers cut into strips
2 T. cornstarch
1/4 c. water
1/4 c. soy sauce
1 large tomatoes cut into eight wedges each or
1 can sliced water chestnuts, drained (or both)

Sprinkle meat with paprika and let stand a few minutes. Brown meat in butter (or can use oil). Add garlic and broth. Cover and simmer 30 minutes. Stir in onions and peppers. Cover and cook 5 minutes more. (or longer if vegetables aren't tender enough.) Blend cornstarch and water...add soy sauce. Stir into meat. Cook, stirring until thickened. Add tomatoes or water chestnuts. Serve over rice
