1 lb. ground beef
1 c. chopped onion
2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
2 tsp. chili seasoning
1/2 tsp. black pepper
2 tsp. parsley flakes
8 oz. cream cheese
1 c. sour cream
4 oz. can sliced mushrooms, drained (opt.)
4 c. hot wide egg noodles, rinsed and drained
1 1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 350. Grease 9x13 pan. In large skillet brown meat and onion. Stir in tomato sauce, chili seasoning, black pepper and parsley flakes. Lower heat and simmer. Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, stir cream cheese with a spoon or hand mixer until soft. Add sour cream and mushrooms. Mix well. Layer half of noodles in pan. Spoon half of meat sauce over noodles. Drop cream cheese mixture evenly over sauce. Repeat noodle layer and meat sauce layer. Evenly sprinkle cheese over top. Bake 45 minutes. Note: 3 1/2 c. uncooked noodles comes out to about 4 c. cooked.
