1 onion 1 can mushroom soup
1 can of shrimp
2 cans crabmeat
1/2 lb cheddar cheese
1/2 jar pimentos
1/2 lb oleo
3 heaping tbsp flour
1 large can of Pet milk
1 milk can of water
3 oz of cream cheese
1/4 tsp red pepper
1/4 tsp chives
1/4 tsp curry
1/4 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp Worcestershire
1/4 tsp garlic salt
1/4 marjoram
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper

Directions:
Blend butter and flour. Alternately add liquids, soup, milk, and water. Saute onions separately and add to the above mixture. Add cheese and seafood. Simmer about 15 minutes and then add seasonings. The sauce will freeze well, but seafood should be added fresh. Serve in chafing dish with toast points or fancy crackers.

This was quite the big recipe at parties in Ruston beginning in the 60's! It looks like it is more trouble than it is but it is definitely worth it! I serve it on the front hall on the bar during the Christmas Eve brunch and lots of people never make it any further than that!
