Ingredients:
9 cups sugar
2 heaping quarts strawberries
1 cup water

Directions:
Dissolve sugar in water. Add berries. Boil 15 minutes. Pour into a large flat pan. Grandma always used her roasting pan. Shake the pan gently back and forth until jam is cool. When you are little, this takes forever! As an adult it only takes 30-45 minutes. The longer you shake, the plumper the berries get. Once the jam has cooled completely, bottle and seal.

Personal Notes:
This is a supper yummy jam and you must save at least one jar for Christmas dinner. I recall trying to find innovative ways to shake grandma's jam without making my arms so tired, without success I might add.
