1/2 c each of flour and oatmeal
5 tbsp butter or margarine (sliced )
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
2/3 to 3/4 c packed brown sugar

Enough apples pared and sliced to fill a pie plate nicely

Peel and slice the apples. Combine oatmeal, sugar, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg. Be sure to get out all the lumps, and then work in the soft margarine until the topping no longer feels dry. Put topping over apples and bake in a greased pan at 375º until apples are fork tender - about 30 minutes.

I always use lots of fresh apples and fill the Longaberger pie dish very full. I also don't set a timer. I just watch it and just check it with a fork.
