Personal Notes:
This recipe is one of my husband's favorites. My husband's name is Gerald Perkins but we call him Jerry. He is a loving husband and very caring. He is 67 and a very hard worker. He was a Christmas baby. He will be 68 on December 25, 2008. In May 1998, the doctor told Jerry and I that he had prostate cancer. For 1 year he took different treatments that did not work; the cancer was still growing. on August 22, 1998, he had his prostate removed at James Cancer Center in Columbus OH. We almost lost him in surgery. The doctor told me that he could not promise that he got all of the cancer and that it could come back. He came home and took treatments at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital. He had to take 40 treatments; it was a very long 2 months. As of this year 2008, he is still cancer free. First we give thanks to God and then to the great doctor he had.
