1/4 c. soft butter
1/2 c. sugar
1c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk
2 c. fruit (apples, peaches. blackberries, etc.
1 c. fruit juice
1/4 to 1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. Cream together butter and sugar. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add to butter and sugar mix. Add milk and beat till smooth. Pour into a 5x10x3 inch pan. Spoon fruit over batter. Sprinkle over fruit the 1/4 to 1/2 c, sugar. Pour juice on top. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes. The bottom will rise.
