1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
3 medium bananas
1 tsp. baking soda
3 T. buttermilk or milk
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugar together. In another bowl mash bananas and mix with milk. Add banana mixture to the shortening and sugar. Add eggs and then add remaining ingredients to batter.
Put in greased loaf pan or two small loaf pans. Bake at 350º for 1 hour or two small loaves for 20-25 min. Insert tooth pick in middle to check to see if it is done.
