3 tbsp. olive oil
1 medium onion, diced
2 cloves garlic crushed
1 lb. ground beef
1 lb. ground pork
1 c. plain breadcrumbs
1/4 c. Parmigiano reggiano
3 large eggs
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven 375º
Saute onions and garlic in olive oil until translucent and lightly browned. Let onion and garlic mixture cool to room temperature. Mix onion mixture and all remaining ingredients in a large bowl (use you hands it works best). Use a small ice cream scoop to form meatballs. Place on baking pan and bake for 35 to 40 minutes turning once halfway through cooking. Severe with marinara sauce. (See recipe for Artie’s Marinara
