1 1/4 cup of all purpose flour
1 1/2 cup of water
1 tsp baking powder
1 T salt
1 T malt vinegar
1 cup powdered sugar
(you will need some more flour to roll twinkies in before you dip them in batter)
Deep fryer with canola oil or oil of choice heated to 375 degrees

Directions:
To prepare batter: Mix all ingredients except powdered sugar together to form consistency of pancake batter.
Roll twinkies in flour, then dip twinkie in batter. Place twinkie in deep fryer for about 75 seconds, take twinkie out and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Since this 1st came out years ago at the state fair other things have been deep fried ie..all types of candy bars, cup cakes and twinkies.
Who knows maybe this batter could be used for veggies also. I have not tried veggies but it sounds good.
