1 C. Whipping Cream
11 oz. soft, fresh goat cheese
1 T. chives sliced (or more to taste)
1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper
8 slices artisan bread cut 1" thick
1/2 T. olive oil
3 granny smith apples, cut in wedges

Directions:
Directions:
Slowly warm cream in heavy pan until hot, but not boiling. Gradually add cheese and whisk until smooth. Thickness can be adjusted by more/less cheese or cream. It should be thick enough to coat a spoon. Remove the fondue from heat and stir in chives and pepper.

Generously oil both sides of the bread with oil and grill both sides until golden brown. Slice into bite sized pieces.
