3/4 cup butter
4 eggs separated
2 squares chocolate
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 cup buttermilk
1 tsp baking soda dissolved in 1/4 cup hot water
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt
Filling:
1 cup milk-scalded
1 tsp corn starch
1 tsp flour
1/4 cup sugar
2 egg yolks
Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter & sugar. Add egg yolks and melted chocolate. Add dry ingredients to mixture.
Whip egg whites until stiff. Fold in with other ingredients
Bake at 350º for 30 minutes.
For the filling: mix everything in a sauce pan. Heat until thickened.
