Pastry:

1 c flour ½ c shortening
½ t salt 2 T water

Make pastry, following standard method. Roll out to fit top of 1 ½ qt. baking dish. Cut in design wanted. Prick and bake at 475º over for 10 minutes.

Filling:

6 T butter
1 ¾ c chicken broth
6 T flour
2/3 c cream
½ t salt
2 c cut up chicken
1/8 t pepper
¼ c cut up pimentos

Make a white sauce with the first 6 ingredients. Add chicken and pimentos. Pour into baking dish. Top with baked pastry. Bake 5-10 minutes at 350º oven until hot and bubbly.
