1 c. cracked wheat
3 c. boiling water
2 T. butter or Shortening
1 T. salt
3 T. sugar or honey
1/4 c. molasses
1 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
In pan, add water and cracked wheat. Wait till boils. Remove from heat and stir in butter or shortening, salt, sugar or honey, molasses and milk.

While mixture is cooling, dissolve 1 1/2 pkgs yeast in 1/2 c. water and 1 tsp. sugar.

Combine the cooked cereal and yeast mixture, then beat in gradually 4 cups all purpose flour. You may substitute in 2 cups of whole wheat flour with 2 cups of all purpose flour.

Bake at 375 for 35 - 40 minutes or until done.
