My Mom's Cheese Pie Recipe

CRUST:
16-20 graham crackers
2 tsp. sugar
1/4 lb. melted butter

FILLING:
3/4-lb. cream cheese
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1/2 cup sugar

TOPPING:
3/4 pint sour cream
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 300º.

Mix crust ingredients and press into 9" buttered pie pan. CHILL.

Mix filling ingredients: Beat eggs thoroughly, add sugar and cheese. Mix slowly. Add vanilla. Pour onto crust.

Bake 20 minutes. COOL.

Beat topping ingredients and spread over pie. Place in oven and bake for 5 minutes. CHILL.

My mother made this for us when growing up. It has ALWAYS (and still is) been my favorite pie from childhood (and the most dangerous).
