3/4 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 1/4 cup molasses
1 egg

2 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon ginger
1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions:
Directions:
375º 8-10 minutes

Melt shortening in sauce pan, cool, add next 3 ingredients and beat well. Add rest of ingredients and beat well. Chill. Form into 1 inch balls and roll in sugar. Place on cookie sheet 1 inch apart
