1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup butter....never margarine
1 egg or 2 egg yolks
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
2 1/3 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 400 degrees. In a large bowl, combine powdered sugar and butter; blend well. Stir in remaining ingredients; blend well. Fill cookie press with small amounts of dough at a time; press dough into desired shapes onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 6 to 8 minutes or until set but not browned. Immediately remove from cookie sheet.

Mom would always make several batches of these cookies, making each batch a different color by adding food coloring. I remember green trees, yellow stars, and pink wreaths and some disastrous looking brown camels. I also have made these sereval times through out the years for my family.
