2 Eggs
2 C Sugar
1 C Canola Oil
1 tsp Vanilla
2 1/4 C Flour
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Baking Soda
3 C chopped, peeled Apples
3/4 C Walnuts

Icing:
1 C Brown Sugar
1/4 C Milk
2 T Butter

Directions:
Directions:
Beat together eggs, sugar, oil, and vanilla. Add flour, salt and soda to egg mixture. Add the apples and nuts. Turn into buttered 9 x 13 pan and bake 30 - 35 minutes at 350º. Meanwhile prepare icing:
Heat the ingredients in pan and bring to soft boil. Cook slowly for 2 1/2 minutes, stirring often. Drizzle over cake while icing and cake are still hot.

My good pal, Alice Clark gave me this recipe. She loves cooking and baking and escaping to her A-frame in the woods and most of all she loves her trombone. This is an old Amish recipe.
