1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
5 cups flour
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon soda
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Then add eggs. Next, stir in flour, spices and sour cream. Chill. Roll out and cut into your favorite shapes!

Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

My grandmother always had these ready when we went to visit and she always iced the cookies with buttercream icing. We never knew what color our cookies would be--it would always be a Surprise!
