1 lb. mushrooms (cleaned)
1 cup butter (don't use margarine)
16 tiny white onions (frozen)
2 Tbsp. flour
1/2 cup chopped parsley
1/2 bay leaf
1/4 tsp. grated nutmeg (preferably fresh)
1/2 cup beef bouillon or stock
1/4 cup dry sherry
Parsley or croutons

Directions:

Melt butter in large pan and add onions. Saute 5 minutes. Add mushrooms and stir. Add flour, parsley, bay leaf, nutmeg, bouillon and sherry. Cook and stir until onions are tender and sauce has thicken. Serve with croutons or parsley on top.

When I used to entertain, I would occasionally serve these. They look pretty and are delicious. Well, that is IF you like mushrooms (my daughters don't).
