"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain

Sift flour, salt, baking powder, and sugar together in large pan and add Crisco and mix like pie crust.

Beat 2 eggs, a little milk and vanilla to eggs and add to the flour mixture. Add enough milk to roll cookies (final shape like flat ovals approx 4" in diameter).

Beat 1 egg and add 1/4 cup Pet milk and beat until thick. Soak sesame seeds a few at a time in milk mixture and then drain. Roll cookies in seeds mixture.

Bake at 375º for 15 minutes, until golden brown.

Personal Notes:
Long ago, when planning for Nicole's and Tricia's weddings, I wanted to have as much Italian tradition as possible. We hired three strolling mandolin players for the cocktail hour. In addition, I wanted to have those trays and trays of Italian cookies that all the aunts in Westfield would bake for many, many weddings (Italian and otherwise). So, I asked the living aunts and cousins to send me their recipes for such. I baked for months ahead of time, freezing the gourmet cookies, and then was able to serve six different kinds. Before I knew it, the Maitre d'hotel told me they were all gone! This is one of our favorites from Aunt Mary Riscile Ippolito.
