Notes: Long ago, when planning for Nicole's and Tricia's weddings, I wanted to have as much Italian tradition as possible. We hired three strolling mandolin players for the cocktail hour. In addition, I wanted to have those trays and trays of Italian cookies that all the aunts in Westfield would bake for many, many weddings (Italian and otherwise). So, I asked the living aunts and cousins to send me their recipes for such. I baked for months ahead of time, freezing the gourmet cookies, and then was able to serve six different kinds. Before I knew it, the Maitre d'hotel told me they were all gone! This is one of our favorites from Aunt Mary Riscile Ippolito.
