10 bacon strips, diced
1 pound sliced fresh mushrooms
1 med onion, chopped
3 garlic cloves, chopped
1 qt. heavy whipping cream
14 ˝ oz. chicken broth
5 oz. shredded swiss cheese
3 tbsp. starch
3 tbsp water
˝ tsp. pepper
˝ tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Fry bacon and reserve 2 tbsp grease to sauté onion, mushrooms and garlic. Add cream and broth and cheese until melted. In small bowl, combine starch, water, salt and pepper. Stir and add to soup to thicken. Yields 2 qts.
