1 c butter;
1 c sugar;
1 tsp vanilla;
1 tsp nutmeg;
3 eggs;
2 tsp cream of tartar;
1 tsp baking soda;
3 c flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar well. Add eggs. Beat until fluffy. Add flavoring and sifted dry ingredients. Chill dough. Roll thin, cut with cookie cutter. Place on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 425º about 8 minutes.
