1 C butter
1 C sugar
1/3 C brown sugar
3 oz. chocolate chips
2 Tbsp. water
1 C crushed almond
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter; add sugars and water. Stir constantly until it reaches 300 degrees on a candy thermometer or when dropped into cold water it hardens immediately. Take off stove and stir in baking soda. It may bubble up, just keep stirring. Pour into greased 9x13” pan that has half of the almonds spread on the bottom. Let cool 5 minutes. Put chocolate chips on top. Heat from candy will melt them. Spread chips over candy like frosting. Sprinkle with the rest of the almonds.
