1 bunch fresh broccoli
2 tablespoons butter, melted
2 tablespoons flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
Pepper to taste
1 1/2 cups milk
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
1/2 cup slivered almonds
4 slices crisply fried and crumbled bacon
1 cup bread crumbs

Directions:
Directions:
Steam broccoli until barely tender, about 10 min. Drain and place in greased 2 quart casserole. Next, prepare white sauce. Melt butter in saucepan. Add flour, salt and pepper and stir until flour is incorporated. Gradually add milk and cook until thick. Remove pan from heat and add Parmesan cheese. Add mushrooms, almonds and bacon to cooled broccoli. Cover with white sauce. Top with bread crumbs browned in some of the bacon grease. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes or until bubbly.
