Almond Roca Recipe

1 pound real butter
2 cups sugar
1 pound almonds, chopped very fine
2 large Hershey bars ( Giant size )

Directions:

Cook butter, sugar about 10 minutes, add almonds and cook to the hard stage ( about 300 to 310 on candy themonater ).
Line jelly roll cake pan with foil, pour hot mixture onto the lined pan, put large candy bar on immediately and let it melt. Spread chocolate around and cover with half the almonds, pressing in lightly so they stick to candy.
Let set, then turn over and add melted candy bar to other side, add almonds, pressing lightly. Let set and then break into pieces and enjoy.

This recipe came from one of Rockys co-workers in 1990 and I have made it many times over the years. Its Rocky's all time favorite Almond Roca.
