1 1/2 lb. lean stew meat
1 packet of Lipton beefy onion soup mix
1 1/2 t. beef granules
4 medium potatoes, cubed
3 carrots, sliced
1 stalk celery, sliced
1 can whole tomatoes
salt/pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Puree the tomatoes with juice in a food processor or blender. Pour into crockpot. Also add the rest of the ingredients. Stir until all is combined. Cook on low heat for 8-10 hours.

Jason and I do not like whole tomatoes so that is why I puree the tomatoes first. If you like whole tomatoes (which eventually break down while cooking anyway), feel free to skip the pureeing step. This is wonderful to have on a cold, wintry day. I usually make beer bread to go with the stew too.
