2-1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 cup shortening (I use half butter; if you use all butter, increase flour by ¼ cup so the cookies don’t flatten)
¾ cups sugar
¾ cups brown sugar (packed)
1 tsp. vanilla
½ tsp. water
2 eggs

Sift together and set aside: 2-1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt

Blend: 1 cup shortening (I use half butter; if you use all butter, increase flour by ¼ cup so the cookies don’t flatten)
¾ cups sugar
¾ cups brown sugar (packed)
1 tsp. vanilla
½ tsp. water
Beat in.....................................2 eggs

Add flour mixture and mix well.

Stir in: 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate morsels.

Drop onto ungreased cookie sheet (I use different sized ice cream scoops).
Bake 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes, depending upon the size of the cookie.
