1 1/2 cups elbow macaroni, cooked,drained .
3 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
dash of pepper
2 cups milk
1/4 cup onion ( finely chopped)
8 oz. sharp cheddar cheese
Lays potato chips, crushed into fine crumbs

In saucepan, melt the butter, blend in the flour, salt and pepper. Add milk, cook and stir till thick and bubbly. Add onion and cheese, stir till melted. Mix cheese sauce with macaroni. Put into a 1 1/2 quart casserole. Sprinkle with potato chips and a little extra shredded cheese. Bake @350 for 35 to 40 minutes or till heated through.

My family never believes you can have dinner without meat so I always add left over ham when I make this. Unfortunately all my grandkids prefer Kraft Mac and Cheese over homemade but I make this anyway because its the only one Rocky will eat.
