1-1/2 c sugar;
1-1/2 c light karo syrup;
1/3 c water;
2 T butter;
2 t vanilla;
1 T vinegar;
4 qts Orville Redenbacher popcorn

Directions:
Directions:
Place popped and salted popcorn in large turkey type pan
Combine all ingredients except the vanilla----Bring all to a boil on medium; stirring constantly for about 15 minutes or less; until it threads or forms ball in cold water; stir in vanilla when pan is off the heat---keep away from children--syrup is very hot! Pour syrup over all the popcorn and mix it , coating all popcorn; take large bowl filled with ice and water to dip hands in when forming balls; place cooled balls in waxed bags.
