Cream together:
1 lb. softened butter
1 16 oz. box of brown sugar
1 1/4 C granulated sugar

Beat in:
2 Tbsp. vanilla
3 eggs

Mix together:
6 C flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Stir together and add to the creamed mixture. Mixture is now sticky and dry. Stir in 8 C of chocolate chips and 2 C chopped walnuts (optional). Drop spoonfuls on waxed paper-lined cookie sheet. Do not reuse waxed paper. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before removing. Enjoy!
