2 ½ cups flour
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt

½ cup butter,
1 ¼ cups brown sugar, firmly packed
2 unbeaten eggs
½ cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup chopped nuts

Bake 350 degrees 10-14 minutes
Frost while warm

Browned Butter Frosting
Brown ¼ cup butter, remove from heat. Stir in 1 ½ cups sifted confectioners’ sugar. Add 3-4 tablespoons hot water, beat until smooth.

Sift together flour, baking soda, salt and set these dry ingredients aside. Cream butter, brown sugar, eggs, sour cream, vanilla. Beat well, blending in dry ingredients. Stir in chopped nuts. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls on parchment paper lined cookie sheets. Bake 350º, 10 to 14 minutes. Cool and frost.
