4 ¼ C Burgundy ( 1 liter)
¾ c sugar
1 stick cinnamon
3 cloves
Lemon peel

Heat well: Do not boil. Strain into glasses and decorate each one with a strop of lemon peel.
To make a punch out of a gluhwein, dissolve the sugar first in a cup of hog black tea and add to the wine.
Special Gluhwein teabags are also available to give it to the characteristics aroma. These teabags can be substituted for the cinnamon, cloves and lemon peel.

Makes 8-10 servings.
