2-8 oz. cans tomato sauce
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. flour
2 c. water
2-3 T. chili powder
1 T. vinegar
Salt to taste
1-1/2# ground beef
1 large onion chopped
1-1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. allspice
1 c. cheese
1 pkg. tortillas

Directions:
Mix tomato sauce, shortening and flour together in a saucepan, slowly add water. Make a paste of the chili powder with a little water. Add to sauce, then add vinegar, allspice and 1/2 tsp. salt. Simmer for 1 hour. Sauce will thicken. Fry beef until almost done. Add onion, 1-1/2 tsp. chili powder, 1/2 tsp. salt and pinch of allspice. Place 1/2 c. cheddar cheese into meat and cook until melted. Dip each tortilla in warm sauce. Place a spoonful of meat in center, roll & place in greased baking dish. Pour remaining sauce over tortillas and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake 350 30 minutes.
