2 tbsp dry yeast
1/3 cup water (warm)
1 cup scalded milk
1 cup cold water
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp salt
5 tbsp shortening (oil)
2 cups flour
2 eggs
3 1/2 + cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Soak yeast in warm water and set aside. In a large bowl, mix milk, cold water, sugar, salt and shortening. Stir in 2 cups flour and beat. Add eggs and yeast mixture. Beat well with electric mixture. Add 3 1/2 cups flour or more to make a soft dough. Mix by hand and turn out onto floured board. Knead until smooth.

Place in greased bowl and cover with cloth. Let rise in warm area for 1 hour. Knead down and let rise again. Shape into buns and cover again. Allow buns to rise for about 1 hour.

Bake at 350-375º for 12 minutes.
