1 c. sugar
1/2 c. white Karo syrup
1/3 c. cold water
Bring to hard boil – or boil hard for 10 minutes and add 1 c. raw peanuts
Use heavy pan - high heat. Stir all the time. Drop on white plate when amber color it's done (10-12 minutes). When done add 1 tsp. soda and 1/2 tsp. salt. Stir, then pour on buttered board in circle and stretch toward middle and outside. Lift hardened portion on outside of the board and keep stretching the rest to outside to harden.

Nobody's peanut brittle is any better than my Mom's. Her's is the best! Always could be found in the Sexton household at Christmas time.
