2 lbs. Shrimp, cooked and peeled
4 cups chicken broth
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 t. salt
1 t. pepper
1 cup whipping cream
2 cups sharp cheese, grated
2 eggs, beaten
2 cups grits (I use coarse yellow, but you can use white also.)
Sausage, cooked and chopped (Andouille or Italian is best, as much as you want.)
Prosciutto, chopped (optional)

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Cook grits in chicken broth, salt and pepper according to directions. Set aside. Mix eggs and whipping cream, adding gradually to cooked grits. Add all other ingredients, reserving 1 cup cheese. Put in slightly greased 9 x 13” pan and top with remaining cheese. Bake 30 minutes uncovered.
