1 angel food cake
1 tbs. unflavored gelatine
1 c. milk
4 egg yolk-Beaten
1 scant cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pint of whip cream--whipped

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve the gelatine in the milk. Let the mixture set for 5 minutes. Heat slowly in a double boiler or heavy sauce pan. Add egg yolks (beaten) when milk is warm. Add sugar and continue to cook until mixture thickens. Add vanilla, stir to mix and remove from the heat. When the custard is cold but not set, fold in the whipped cream. Enlarge the round hole in an angel food cake (either purchased or baked 4 hours before preparing this recipe) to a 4" square. Fill the square hole with cream custard filling and spread remainder over the sides and on top of the cake. Decorate with chopped nuts. Refrigerate for 4 hours or more before cutting to serve.
