Crust:
1 lb. Oreos, crushed
1/2 C. butter, softened
Filling:
1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream, softened
2 C. powdered sugar
12 oz. can evaporated milk
2/3 C. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 C. butter
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1-1/2 C. Spanish peanuts

Crust:
Mix cookie crumbs and butter, pat into 9x13 pan. Freeze for 1 hour. When you put the crust into the freezer, take the ice cream out and let it soften.
Filling:
After 1 hour, spoon the soft ice cream over the crust. Return to freezer.
In a saucepan, combine powdered sugar, evaporated milk, chocolate chips and butter. Bring to a boil and boil for 8 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla. Cool.
Sprinkle peanuts over ice cream. Pour the cooled chocolate sauce over the top and spread out. Return pan, covered; to the freezer. Keep frozen.

This is a Family favorite and is oh, so good!
I had to edit the name of this dessert as my family refers to it as the Oreo Ice Cream Dessert!!
