Hamburger Potato Pie Recipe

Casserole Base:
2 lbs ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 tbsp salt

Casserole Topping:
6 large potatoes, cooked and mashed
1/2 to 3/4 cup milk
4 tbsp butter
shredded cheddar cheese
salt to taste

In a large bowl, mix beef, onion, salt and pepper. Press into a 9 inch pie pan. Bake 30 minutes at 350. While meat base is cooking prepare potato mixture by mashing potatoes and adding milk, butter and salt. When base is complete, remove from oven and top with potatoes and sprinkle grated cheese on top. Bake 30 minutes longer and remove when cheese is melted.
