8 large fresh peaches, peeled and pitted, then cut into ½” slices (or 6 c. thawed frozen peaches)
1 c. sugar
¼ tsp. ground cloves
1 T. cornstarch dissolved in 1 T. cold water
½ tsp. almond extract

Directions:
Directions:
Bring peaches, sugar and cloves to a simmer over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until peaches are heated through, 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in cornstarch mixture; simmer until mixture thickens slightly, a minute or so longer. Remove from heat and stir in almond extract.
