1/2 C sugar,
1 egg,
1 Tsp. salt,
1/4 C shortening, (Mom used yellow Crisco)
1 package of yeast (quick-rise)
2 C milk
5 1/2 to 6 cups of flour

Directions:
Directions:
Warm milk about 1 1/2 minutes in microwave oven,
add yeast let dissolve. Use electric mixer and mix first four ingredients, add milk and yeast. add flour, mix or need. Put in large bowl and let rise, punch down until double the size, and let rise again and then make buns. Bake at 350º for 15 minutes.
