2 pound round or chuck steak
1 small onion, chopped
1/2 cup flour
2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
3 tablespoons Crisco
1/2 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce mixed with equal amount of water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix flour, salt, and pepper; thoroughly pound into steak. Brown meat and onion in hot fat. Add tomato sauce mixed with water. Cover; cook over low heat on top of stove (or bake at 350º) until tender, about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours.
