1 1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 egg white
1 egg yolk, beaten well
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. maple flavoring
Chopped pecans
Frosting:
2 squares Baker's chocolate
1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. butter
1 c. powdered sugar

Cookies: Sift together the flour, soda and salt. Blend butter and brown sugar into dry ingredients. Add egg and egg yolk. Blend in vanilla and maple flavoring. Add dry ingredients gradually. Mold dough into balls. Dip into egg white and press in pecans. Bake at 350º for 10-12 min.
Frosting: Combine chocolate, milk and butter in a double boiler and melt. Add powdered sugar and beat until smooth and glossy.
