3 eggs, slightly beaten
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. white Karo syrup
1 or 1 1/2 c. pecan halves or pieces
1/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
2 T. lemon juice
1 t. vanilla flavoring

Combine ingredients and pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake for 10 min. in 450º oven; then turn to 300º and bake for 45 min. to 1 hour.

After the oven temperature is turned down to 300, open the oven door for a min or so to let the oven cool down rapidly.
