3/4 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. dark molasses
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp cloves
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together butter and sugar. Add egg, then molasses. In separate bowl, sift flour, baking soda, cloves, ginger, and cinnamon. Add to creamed mixture and mix thoroughly. Form into balls the size of a small walnut. Roll in sugar. Place 2 in. apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350º for 10-12 min.
