Ingredients:
5 qts. popped corn (Orville Redenbacher)
2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. water
1/2 c. butter
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 c. white corn syrup
1 tsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Keep popcorn hot in 300º oven. Combine everything, except vanilla in saucepan. Cook to a hardball stage, which is 250º on a candy thermometer. It takes about 45 minutes. Take off stove and add vanilla. Pour over popcorn and stir to mix. I use a rubber spatula that gets into all nooks and crannies of the pan. Place hands in ice water to form balls.
