1 c butter
1 c peanut butter
1 c granulated sugar
1 c brown sugar
2 eggs
1 t vanilla
2 1/2 c flour
1 t baking powder
1 t baking soda
1 t salt
sugar, for rolling
nuts, chocolate kisses, jam or jelly for garnish
Directions:
Directions:
In a bowl with mixer at medium speed, beat first 6 ingredients until fluffy. At low speed, beat in next 4 ingredients. Shape into 1" balls and roll in sugar. Place 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake t 350º for 12 to 15 minutes or until browned.

Remove from oven and immediately press nuts or chocolate kisses into cookies; or press with thumb and fill with jam or jelly. Remove to wire rack and cool.
