1 lb. gr. beef, 2 16oz. cans stewed tomatoes, 2 8 oz. cans tomato sauce, 4 c. water, 1 20oz. bag frozen mixed vegetables, 1/2 c. Lipton onion soup mix, 1 Tbs. sugar.

Brown the beef well and drain. Chop the stewed tomatoes and add all the ingredients to a soup kettle. Bring to a boil then simmer covered for 30 min or longer.

Grandma Loie notes that this recipe cost $7.29 to make in February 1991. The recipe came to her from her good friend, Peggy Shedrick (Nee Rose)who was a bridemaid to Grandma Loie and Grandpa Lenny. Peggy's sister was Dorothy Rose who married Cousin Gordon Murphy.
