1/3 cup flour
2-1/2 cup shredded coconut
1/8 tsp salt
2/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
Maraschino cherries

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º.
Lightly grease a cookie sheet.
In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, coconut and salt.
Stir in the milk and vanilla. Stir well to make a thick batter.
Drop by tablespoons onto the cookie sheet.
Top each cookie with half a cheery.

Bake at 350 until golden brown. Watch these as they tend to brown quickly.

I remember Ma taking us to Boston for our February vacations and going over to Gilchrist's Department Store. We always picked up some macaroons for Bumpa senior and then headed over to Bailey's for one of those fabulous hot fudge sundae's with the marshmallow dripping off the sides.
